The updated API in the Home platform will allow apps to connect with smart homes via Google Home for creating new user experiences. Furthermore, the “Bedtime” mode on Pixel phones can help users control smart lighting to dim it during sleep hours or lock doors, with more features expected to be added when activating this mode.
