Samsung has started rolling out the August 2024 security update for its flagship Galaxy S23 series globally. The update, carrying version number S91xBXXS6CXG8, addresses security fixes for nearly 50 vulnerabilities across all models of the Galaxy S23 lineup. It is already available in many countries, including several in the Middle East and Africa like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kenya, and Nigeria. Users can check for the update by navigating to “Settings,” selecting “Software Update,” and clicking on “Download and Install.” Samsung has also made the update file available for manual download from the firmware database. The Galaxy S23 series launched last year with Android 13 and One UI 5.1, receiving updates to Android 14 with One UI 6.0 and later to One UI 6.1. Devices are expected to receive Android 15 with One UI 7.0 later this year.
